Overview
Built by the Union Pacific Railroad in 1936, the Sun Valley Lodge is a classic resort, with a bowling alley, a full-service spa, two ice rinks and a pool. Most travelers headed to Sun Valley, Idaho are not going there to bowl. However, on the rare occasions when the weather is bad outside, you can stay inside and try a game or two of bowling.
The bowling alley has not changed much since it was included in the original design of the Lodge. Just think, you may be rolling a bowling ball along the same wooden allies once used by celebrities like Ernest Hemingway.
