Sun Valley Opera

The Sun Valley Opera House was built in 1937 and is a picturesque theater used for movies and special events. The theater holds 340 guests. The Opera house is located in the Sun Valley Village and shows first run movies nightly. The favorite local film, "Sun Valley Serenade" is also played daily free of charge.

The Sun Valley Opera House serves as a historical marker that still functions as a daily destination for locals and visitors. The theater was updated with a new sound system in 1999 to insure a top quality experience for viewers. "Sun Valley Serenade," which plays daily, is a film from 1941 and stars Sonja Henie, John Payne and Milton Berle. The old film was nominated for 3 Oscars in 1941 and is a fun way to experience the history of the Sun Valley area. Don't miss a chance to see a movie in this historical and beautiful Opera House. It is conveniently located right in Sun Valley Village.
