Sun Valley Telemark Ski Races
The Sun Valley Telemark Ski Race Series is the longest run telemark series in the country.
Race Events Include; a giant slalom on Dollar Mountain, a Classic Terrain race on Baldy Mountain and Soldier Mountain, a night race at Rotorun Ski Area, and the infamous Hawaiian Nationals which features the tandem Telemark Challenge.
The Sun Valley Telemark Race Series is a good time for all skiers as well as a fundraiser for numerous foundations and services in the area. Previous seasons have raised over $4,000. The fun filled race series kicks off in January with the All Terrain race. The Bob Marley Day All Terrain event is held in February to celebrate the late musicians birthday. The day includes a Tele Powder 8's and Tele Big Air contests. The Dollar Mountain GS is in March, leaving the Hawaiian Nationals Dual GS as the grand finale in April. Also, the Tandem Challenge is not to be missed as two skiers have to race on one pair of skis. Snowboarders are welcome to participate, but no alpine skiers.
It looks like you may have missed it this time around.
