US Half Marathon
The US Half Marathon is a beautiful way to see the Sun Valley/ Ketchum area. The run loops from Sun Valley out to surrounding areas and finished back in Sun Valley, all the time giving runners amazing alpine mountain views. The half marathon usually takes place in May and serves as a fundraiser for Run for War Child.
The US Half Marathon raises money for Run for War Child. The foundation works to donate money to the affected children of war torn countries such as Iraq, Afghanistan and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Race organizers ask that runners raise money in support of the run and the foundation. The race leaves Sun Valley Village and loops out through Elkhorn, Ketchum and Sun Valley. Runner will enjoy views of Baldy Mountain and the Big Wood River. The race starts in the morning and runs throughout the course of the day. The US Half Marathon is a great way to raise money to help others as well as see the Sun Valley area in a new way.
