Both Seattle, WA and Portland, OR serve as excellent northwest hubs to destination Idaho cities and towns, including Sun Valley, Located on the Pacific Coast, Seattle and Oregon are both hip, progressive cities which have great proximity to pristine mountains as well as open ocean.
Seattle is located along the Puget Sound in northwestern Washington. Famous for its Space Needle and rainy weather, Seattle is also known for its seafood, shopping, and cutting edge music scene. Although you could spend months within city boundaries and find yourself with so much left to do, Seattle is also within a couple hours drive of British Columbia, Canada, Mt. Rainier, the Cascade Range, the Olympic Range, and the eastern Washington desert.
Portland is located near the Columbia River and is a progressive, environmentally friendly city in northwestern Oregon. Numerous bridges keep city views interesting and unique, while residents enjoy luxuries of nearby fruit orchards, fresh seafood, and skiing and hiking at Mt. Hood or Mt. St. Helens.
