Located in the Sawtooth Mountain Range, it has been said that Stanley Lake is one the loveliest lakes in the area. For anglers and boaters, the 170 acre lake offers plenty of room for recreating. Only about an hour and a half from Sun Valley, Stanley Lake is a beautiful place to visit.

With 19 gorgeous campsites located right on Stanley Lake, camping overnight is a great way to experience what this area has to offer. Swimming, relaxing, motorboating, canoeing, and kayaking are just a few of the activities you can take part in.  At roughly 6,500 feet in elevation, Stanley Lake's season is late May through early September.

Anglers love Stanley Lake for its great Rainbow and Lake trout fishing.

For hikers and backpackers, the easy access to Idaho's Centennial Trail is always a huge attraction, The trail winds through the picturesque Sawtooth wilderness and a beautiful lake region.

For birdwatchers, there are over 219 different species that fly through the Sawtooth area, including the protected Sandhill crane.

Even if you come for just a day to hike, fish, or boat Stanley Lake is a convenient and lovely area to see while you are visiting Idaho.
