Bellevue, Idaho was established in 1880 after discovery of the Minnie Moore mine. Since these humble beginnings as a mining town supplying all types of services and materials to the local miners, Bellevue is now a part of the thriving tourist industry in central Idaho – the focal point of which is Sun Valley.

Considered the gateway to the Sun Valley Resort Area, Bellevue is located just minutes south of Ketchum and Sun Valley. Your adventure in this area can begin in Bellevue. The Wood River Trail System is a pathway north. On this railroad bed which has been turned into a paved path, you can bike, hike, roller blade, ride horseback, or cross-country ski.

Downtown Bellevue is a mix of old and new, but with an eye to keeping the old western theme of the town. Many of the older structures have been restored and now house unique and specialty shops, galleries, bookstores, cafes and restaurants - to name just a few. The Wood River runs near the town and a picnic in the town park is a great way to take some time to relax.
