Petitt Lake
One of the scenic alpine lakes located south of Stanley Idaho and north of Sun Valley, Idaho is Pettit Lake, which rests in the heart of the Sawtooth Mountains. In total, Idaho has nearly 19,000 miles of trails suited for hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking and road biking. Some of the most spectacular trails for hiking are located in the Sawtooth Mountains. An easy access route to those trails is to establish a camp at Pettit Lake. This small, pristine mountain lake is surrounded by dense forests and beautiful small mountain meadows. You can take a day hike or climb to a high alpine lake. No mater what you like to do either with family and friends or on your own, you will find that Pettit Lake provides just the right location.
