Sun Valley Idaho Tennis

In the summer, fanatic skiers turn into fanatic tennis players. The Wood River Valley is dotted with tennis courts, both public ones and private ones. However, the demand is so high for a place to hit the ball with a racket, that both the Sun Valley Lodge and the Elkhorn Resort open their courts to visitors. In addition, there are several other private tennis clubs in the area that do the same thing.

If you are a tennis fanatic, you want to make sure that you can get in your tennis "fix" when you are on vacation. Noted for its sunshine both in the winter and in the summer, Sun Valley is a great place to either learn the game or work on improving your backhand.

The amenities offered for vacationers in Sun Valley and the adjacent town of Ketchum are many. Included in these are over seventy restaurants, chic shops, golf courses and over eighty tennis courts.

If you leave your racket at home, check with the local sports shops that will be happy to rent tennis rackets. Check with the local communities for the location and available of the public courts. Check with the Sun Valley Resort, Elkhorn Resort and the other private tennis clubs for the possibility of using their courts.
