Traveling to the area by Bus

Visitors can also take any one of 60 daily flights into Boise, ID, the major airline gateway, 150 miles west of Sun Valley. Daily shuttles from Boise are available on Sun Valley Stages (2x day) and Sun Valley Express (1x day), and will take visitors directly to Sun Valley.

It is also easy to get to your final destination from the Hailey Airport. Shuttle bus services are available from the airport directly to the front door of your lodging facility.

Some commercial bus tours also travel to the area both in the winter and in the summer.

Local Shuttle Service

Transportation throughout the Valley is also easy via Mountain Rides, previous known as Ketchum Area Rapid Transit (KART). Mountain Rides provides public transportation solutions for all who visit, live, or work in the Sun Valley area of Idaho and is a partnership of the communities of Bellevue, Blaine County, Hailey, Ketchum, and Sun Valley. They provide fixed route bus, demand response, bike, carpool, pedestrian, vanpool, and transportation planning service.

They provide free transportation within the communities to include rides to Bald Mountain and Dollar Mountain. Rides between the ends of the Valley, i.e. Bellevue/Hailey and Ketchum/Sun Valley, cost $3.00 one way. Schedules changes according to the season.
