Winter Recreation
In the mid 1930's, America's skiing public began to flock to the majestic peaks of the Central Idaho Rockies – Sun Valley. As the years pass by, more and more individuals are discovering or re-discovering the picturesque scenery and the endless ski runs. There is also backcountry powder skiing and you can take a guided snow cat or helicopter ski tour.
In addition to skiing, you can enjoy ice skating, dog sledding, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, a horse drawn sleigh ride, take a dip in one of the heated pools, enjoy a soak in a private hot tub, or simply curl up in front of a roaring fire with a good book – or a friend who has read one lately.
Because there is so much to do in the winter in Sun Valley, travelers continue to return time and time again.
