Twin Falls Idaho
Twin Falls, ID is located directly south 83 miles from Sun Valley, and is also about halfway between Boise and Pocatello. With a regional airport and proximity to Interstate 15, Twin Falls is definitely easy to get into and out of.
Twin Falls started out as an agricultural town used by farming pioneers who worked in the fertile Snake River Plain. Today, Twin Falls, Idaho is still a rich agricultural center and is also a paradise for those looking for a balance of small town atmosphere and big city conveniences.
Within the city you will find golf courses, parks, antique stores, fairs, and festivals. Just outside of town you can find excellent fishing and boating on the Snake River. The City of Rocks National Reserve is also just a couple hours away and yields superb granite rock climbing and adventurous hiking. The closest ski area is Magic Mountain Ski area, although there are several other small ski resorts within a short drive. Another area attraction includes Balanced Rock, which is a nearly 50 foot tall rock weighing 40 tons that balances on a platform only 3 feet by 17 inches.
