Everyone is familiar with the name Sun Valley. However, lying in close proximity to the actual resort are several residential neighborhoods that together comprise Sun Valley Village.

Overview

Resembling an alpine village, Sun Valley Village is a family friendly environment with lush grounds and century old landscaping. The showpiece of the Village is the historic Sun Valley Lodge that opened in 1936. Near the Lodge you will find the ice rink and not far away is a pedestrian shopping mall with unique and specialty shops. It will take more than just one visit to Sun Valley Village to able to investigate and enjoy all the various dining opportunities here.

Location & Information

The Sun Valley Village is located northeast of downtown Ketchum and is the home of the well known Sun Valley Lodge and Inn.

Activities

Shuttle Bus to Ketchum
Although the village has its own selection of shops, restaurants, and activities, visitors can take advantage of the free bus shuttle to and from ski lifts, as well as shops and restaurants located in Ketchum.

Ice Skating & Trails
Families can enjoy ice skating year round and nearby skiing in the winter. In the summer months, rent a bike and pedal along the Wood River Valley Trail, adjacent to the village. 

Lodging
In addition to the lodging available in the Sun Valley Lodge, the Sun Valley Village has different condominium complexes, private homes and other hotel rooms for rent. All lodging accommodations have access to amenities of the Sun Valley Resort including heated swimming pools, fitness centers, a bowling alley, tennis courts and the golf course.
